Paulding Junior High School
Each building had specific professional development tailored to the current needs of the building. After the PD session, our staff met in the SBTs and TBTs for the rest of the morning.
This week during PPL our staff members met as subject level teams to look at data and alignment through the grades. Our paraprofessionals continued
PEVS teachers started the second semester PPL time by having professional development in their buildings and working as TBTs. During the professional development time our staff members talked about the first semester successes in their buildings and did a refresher on what PPL is, specifically talking about our Why. During the TBT time, they recapped the first semester the STAR winter benchmark, Webexams and 3rd Grade Reading Fall OST data. Our paraprofessionals continued their Conscious Discipline professional development as well. Our junior high and high school intervention specialists met with Mrs. Barnes.
Today during PPL our staff members did the following:
* looked at new data that included gifted testing results, 3rd Grade Fall Reading OST data, and STAR winter benchmark data
* collaborated to identify TBT goals
* co-planned for upcoming lessons
* constructed unit maps
* had EVAAS (value-added data) training
* met with various administrators and departments
Even though it was foggy on Wednesday morning, our teachers met as TBTs to continue to work towards improving student achievement and overall school culture. Those teachers who are on the DLT shared information from the DLT meeting on Monday, they continued to collaborate to identify solutions to issues and they were able to co-plan for upcoming units and lessons.
